American Brittany Rescue, Inc. is an organization that was formed in 1991 as a cooperative effort of Brittany owners, breeders, trainers, and fanciers who ABR believes have a responsibility not only for their own dogs and the dogs they produce, but for the breed as a whole
ABR’s mission is to provide the leadership and expertise via a network of trained volunteers to take in stray, abandoned, surrendered and/or impounded purebred Brittanys, provide them with foster care, health and temperament screening, an opportunity for any necessary rehabilitation and to assure their health and placement into new homes. In order to fulfill this mission, ABR’s volunteers remain flexible and adaptable to current and future business environments and they remain dedicated to the organization.

We are a very small home based rescue. We take in mostly English Bulldogs or Bulldog mixes or mixed breeds that are most urgent/critical.

The Ferret Nook Shelter / Adoption Center is no-kill ferret shelter established to promote the care and welfare of the domestic companion ferret. For Cat’s Sake is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned cats and kittens find loving, permanent homes. We provide all medical care, safe placement with qualified foster caregivers, unconditional love and another chance at a happy life. We are a ‘Limited-Admission, No-Kill Organization’. All our cats reside in foster homes which limits our intake (we do not have a physical shelter). We keep every cat until it finds its forever home. No cat will ever be euthanized to make room for another cat.

GDROMN takes in purebred Great Danes from Mn and Wi. They are vetted and placed in foster homes until adoption. We now have the Dane Farm Great Dane Sanctuary where Danes that would be put down can come and live out their lives. These dogs come from all over the US.
Green Acres Boxer Rescue has been operating since 2000. We take in Boxers from all areas of Wisconsin and the U.P. Each dog receives veterinary care and lives in a loving foster home until a forever home is found. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home Papillons and other small breeds. We focus on dogs from puppy mills. These companion animals are being bred to death and have had a rocky start in life, but with the help of Rocky Start Rescue they can finally be free and loved. All dogs are health tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and veterinary needs taken care of prior to placement. We do not have a facility, we utilize foster homes for all rescued Papillons and small breed dogs we take in.

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) was founded in 1879 and operates shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine Counties. The organization offers adoption services, educational programming, veterinary resources for animals from low-income households, retail stores, volunteer programs and dog training classes. The Milwaukee shelter also houses the state’s largest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. WHS’s mission is to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.

We take in abused, neglected and unwanted Border Collies. We Give them proper vet care and rehome into matching homes. We do home visits before adoption can take place. Because of the lack of foster homes, there will times, where we are not able to take in Border Collies.
